At the end of the day, what matters is the success of the llama industry and those
 who believe in it. 


Collectible Llamas, Inc. (CLI) exists to enhance the long-term viability  and profitability of the llama industry through the  promotion and marketing of all types of Llamas. 

 

CERTIFIED Llama Registry (CLR) Classifications

  1. Suri

a.       Owner must be a member of Collectible Llamas, Inc.

b.      On-site, hands-on classification

c.       Minimum age to be classified is 3 months

d.       Must  be DNAd and microchipped

e.       $175 fee (includes classification & registration)
Classification Process (Criteria attached)

Two qualified classifiers will jointly do classification process.
$75 cost to register (if not classified at same time).

f.        Professional quality photos (profile & front showing head & neck; inside blanket fiber or neck if blanket is shorn)

  1. Suri Producer

a.       DNA’d and Microchipped.

b.       DNA parentage verification required.

c.       No suri llamas allowed.

d.       $75 registration fee (includes DNA & microchip).

e.       Owner not required to be a member of CLI.

  1. Select

a.       Owner does not have to be a member

b.      Llama phenotype

c.       Any male or female that has produced one or more offspring that has been classified “Suri” using the Collectible Llama classification system

d.      Any non-Suri male or female offspring from a Suri classified parent(s)

e.       Photos with fiber growth (profile & front showing head & neck)

f.        Must be DNAd & microchipped

g.       $75 fee to register

h.       Professional quality photos (profile & front)

  1. Traditional

a.       Three year window to register

b.      Owner does not have to be a member

c.       Llama phenotype

d.      Any male or female llama

e.       Must be DNA’d and microchipped

f.        $75 fee to register

g.       If produces suri offspring, can move into Select classification

h.       $50 to move to next level

i.         Professional quality photos with fiber growth (profile & front showing head & neck)

j.        No Suri llamas

  1. Special Achievement Classifications
    1. Foundation Suri Males
      • Llama must be at least three years old
      • Owner must be a Collectible Llamas, Inc. member
      • $2,000 fee
      • Must be classified into Suri category in both fiber and conformation
      • Has produced at least three Suri offspring that are registered with Collectible Llamas, Inc.
      • Professional quality photo 
    1. Foundation Select Males
      • Llama must be at least three years old
      • Owner must be a Collectible Llamas, Inc. member
      • $2,000 fee
      • Must be classified for fiber and conformation
      • Has produced at least three Suri offspring that are registered with Collectible Llamas, Inc.
      • Professional quality photo 
    1. Foundation Herd Sires
      • Owner must be a member of Collectible Llamas, Inc.
      • Minimum three years old
      • Must have produced at least one suri offspring
      • $3,000 fee to become Foundation Herd Sire
      • Must be DNAd and microchipped 
    1. Foundation  Female
      • Llama must have produced at least three Suri offspring that are registered with Collectible Llamas, Inc.
      • Owner must be a Collectible Llamas, Inc. member
      • $1,000 fee (includes classification & registration)
      • Must be classified for fiber and conformation
