Introduction:  Rusk County Exposition Center
One of the finest facilities of its kind in the state, the $1.4 million Rusk County Expo Center was completed in 1995 as a compliment to the existing Ag Center. This allows the facility to combine the functions of Ag center with the capabilities of the open air arena.
The Expo Center has 100,000 square ft. under roof, with a seating capacity of 5,000. A horse barn with 32 stalls allows overnight accommodation for horses. The center has a busy calendar with events scheduled every weekend. Cattle sales, rodeos, team penning, cutting horse competitions, and auto and recreation shows have been booked into the facility.
Upon entering the gates at the Expo, check out the World War II T-33 trainer, aircraft erected in the memory of all veterans.
The Center is located 1 mile past the city limits on FM 13.

This is not just an ordinary llama show! It is a festival! This event is packed with fun, food and camaraderie.
Here are some of the highlights:
- A llama show with fair judging with no spin
- Fiber Education
- Neat stuff to buy
    - Folk artists & vendors & demonstrations
    - Jewelry, cool stuff, sculptures, clothing
    - Tack & supplies
- Plenty of great food
- Live Concert featuring Little Texas
- Llamas available for sale (private treaty)

General Information:  The Texas Festival gives exhibitors another venue for showcasing their llamas, using fiber type as the distinction for class determination.  There will be three fiber divisions (Traditional, Silky & Suri).  These will be further divided by sex and age.  See entry form for complete details.  See below for a description of the three fiber types.

Traditional Fiber Type

* Fiber length may be short, medium or long

Silky Fiber Type

* Slick to the touch
* Straight
* High luster
* Low loft
 (not fluffy)
* Minimal to no lock structure

Suri Fiber Type
